Value engineering reviews are a process of reviewing structural design documents with the goal of helping the design team reduce material quantities and or construction complexity based on Structural Engineering experience and or additional calculations.
During a value engineering review the design team will receive a comment log with an initial set of value engineering comments for review and response. Typically 1-3 additional rounds of comments and responses are required to implement recommendations into the design documents.
